A trip along German borderland

​This time we are going to the German borderland where we visit rocky town Bastei and castle Neurathen and many other interesting views.

  • Meet-up: At 6:10am at Praze na hl.n. in front of Vodafone shop. There buy discounted group ticket including discount valid for the borderland..
  • We depart from Prague at 6:29am by a train EC to Bad Schandau.(arrival at 8:15am).
    From Bad Schandau we go to Stadt Wehlen.(dep. at 9:15am).
    Then we go by walk along 10 kilometers long round path trough countryside, we also need to use a boat ferry across the river Labe.
    We are going to visit rocky town Bastei and castle Neurathen and many other interesting views.
  • Return back: From Bad Schandau at 5:38pm by a train EC. Arrival to Praha hl. n. at 7:27pm.
  • Path: moderately challenging, intermittent elevation, length approx. 10 km
  • Price: return ticket approx. 143,- Kč (with discount), entrance fee to castle Neurathen 1,50 €, boat ferry across the river Labe approx 1,- €.
  • Recommendation: Since it's a trip for the whole day and we don't suppose to have lunch at a restaurant (we might change our opinion on spot) it's recommended to have
    a big breakfast and bring a proper snack. It's good to have 20€. There is possibility to have a breakfast in the train EC (prices start at 80,- Kč).
